Baby Star Quilt ... First Free Motion Quilting

I really wanted to try free motion quilting. It is scary to try to do a large quilt for my first attempt at this. I decided the best was to start small. There is a new baby due any day now in our family so what better time then to make a quilt for the new baby and try out free motion quilting.  I know his new room will be stars and night themed. I found a great pattern for the star blocks. We all love MSQC. Made a 9 patch of stars and quilted star bursts on the stars. For the in between I free motion quilted meandering stars. I chalked on stars and meandered to them. I think it turned out well. Close up of my quilting after I washed it.
